I bought this on GC many years ago, but not a lot of people had GC compared to the other consoles, so higher sales than that make sense to me. Sales lower than RE2 is surprising. I'm curious what the numbers look like including digital. Is that type of info available?
You're completely right, GC wasn't a very successful (in terms of sales at least) console. This is partly the reason why remake outperformed the original version.
Digital sales are not available, unfortunately, at least I do not know any open source where this data is tracked. But I think there is no surprise why it sold better - RE2 Remake was the first in a row + it was really great one.
